Rupert is one of JCN’s longest-term residents. He was rescued from the Fukushima evacuation zone back in 2012 and has been staying with us since then.
He may look like an ornery old man with his grumpy face, but don’t let it fool you! It’s only for show. Deep down inside, Rupert is a lover, not a fighter. Rupert has been dubbed the granddad of the Tokyo rescue house due to his huge soft spot for the younger cats. He dotes on all his “grandcats” and gets lots of cuddles in return. However, he prefers to keep his distance from humans.
Rupert is looking for a calm, quiet home and a family that can respect his boundaries. Because he has hyperthyroidism, he requires daily medication but is very easy to pill as long as you use some tasty treats.
