ADOPTED with Buuchan on 8/16/2018

At just 4 weeks old, Lola and seven other kittens were abandoned in a cardboard box on the doorstep of the Japan Cat Network shelter in Fukushima. Lola escaped from the box, and was found wandering the street in front of the shelter by a passerby.  All eight kittens were critically ill with an upper respiratory infection, and our volunteers immediately sprang into action, racing the tiny babies to the local veterinary hospital for treatment.  Sadly, one of the kittens did not survive.  Although, Lola was initially the smallest and weakest of the group, she fought hard to survive!

Thankfully, with medication and lots of loving care, Lola has continued to improve.   She is an affectionate and loving little girl.  She and Buuchan are best friends, and the two kittens are never far apart.  Lola is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Fukushima, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
