Kabocha was found starving, covered in ticks, and wandering the streets of Kyoto. Although unsure and nervous around humans, he was so desperate that he would run up to every passerby and cry for food. Lucky for Kabocha, one such passerby just happened to be the director of JCN! He soon found himself snug, warm, and fed in the JCN Kyoto volunteer house.
As Kabocha has come to trust those around him, he has transformed into the most amazingly friendly little guy! Kabocha loves to play and is very affectionate with those he knows. He can be a bit bossy around other cats, so he is probably best suited to a home where he can be king of his own castle. Kabocha is currently staying in a foster home in Yokohama, but can be available for adoption in other parts of Japan.
