Grace was rescued by JCN volunteers from the Sugimoto feral cat colony in Kyoto, a site where some 23 cats and kittens struggled to survive in abandoned and delapitated buildings set to soon be demolished. Several members of the community were vehemently opposed to the presence of the local cats, and, sadly, Grace and the other kitties faced abuse and cruelty on a daily basis. Desperately hungry, Grace ran over for treats as soon as our volunteers arrived on the scene. She can be understandably shy with new people, but once she warms up to you, she will show herself to be a very friendly little girl. Grace has the softest fur, and loves to be stroked on the head and under the chin, however, she does not particularly enjoy being picked up. Grace is currently staying at a foster home in Tokyo and can be available for adoption in other parts of Japan.
