At just 4 weeks old, Foxy and seven other kittens were abandoned in a cardboard box on the doorstep of the Japan Cat Network shelter in Fukushima. All eight kittens were critically ill with an upper respiratory infection, and our volunteers immediately sprang into action, racing the tiny babies to the local veterinary hospital for treatment. Sadly, Foxy's almost identical twin brother did not survive. At the time, Foxy's left eye was severely infected, and we were concerned she might lose the eye or be permanently blinded.
Thankfully, with medication and lots of loving care, Foxy has continued to improve. She is an incredibly loving and cuddly kitten, who desperately wants a family of her own. Foxy is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Tokyo, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
