ADOPTED with Tart on 12/14/2019. Tart passed in July 2020.

Chibi and her four sisters were brought to the JCN Fukushima shelter by an evacuee from Kesennuma, Miyagi, who had lost their home in the March 2011 tsunami.  No longer able to care for the kittens, they were surrendered to JCN.  Although two of the kittens were later adopted,  Chibi and her sister, Tart, continued to wait for their forever family to be found.  They quickly won the hearts of everyone around them, and their playful and friendly natures made them favourites with our volunteers.  In October 2016, the girls were finally adopted, and moved to Tokyo to join their new family.  Unfortunately, less than three years later, the family decided to move back to the US and returned the girls to the shelter.  Chibi is a very talkative kitty, and always has lots to say.  She loves affection, and actively seeks out affection by tapping you with her paws and meowing.  She likes to snuggle, but prefers to cuddle next to you, rather than be picked up.

Chibi and Tart are once again looking for a forever family, someone who can commit to loving and caring for them for the rest of their lives.  The girls are very closely bonded and have been through a lot together, so they are only looking for a home together.  Chibi is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Tokyo, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
