Steve's mother, Lolita, was emaciated and heavily pregnant when she was rescued from a colony of starving cats in Inawashiro, Fukushima.  Within hours of arriving at the JCN shelter, Lolita gave birth to four kittens, the smallest of which did not survive.  Steve was the third born of Lolita's little ones and is a loving brother to siblings, J.J. and Martin, and cousins, Isabelle, Winks, and Tokino.  Steve is an incredibly sweet and affectionate kitten who loves to play.

Steve has shown sensitivities to vaccinations.  Shortly after receiving his second kitten booster vaccination, Steve had a strong allergic reaction and had to be hospitalized.   Although he has fully recovered, an adoptive family would need to take precautions and discuss any future vaccination protocols carefully with a veterinarian.  Because of rabies vaccination requirements associated with international travel, Steve is looking for a family with permanent residence in Japan, or where travel would be restricted to Canada or the United States (countries that do not necessarily require vaccinations for importation).

Steve is a wonderful little boy who has so much love to give.  He is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Tokyo, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
