Description

Shiro came to us after his home in Kyoto burned down and the family moved away, leaving Shiro and his sister, Kuro, behind.   Shiro is a very sweet and loving little boy.  He can be a bit shy at first, but once he comes to know and trust you, he will show you his softer side.  Shiro has so much love to give!

Shiro has been diagnosed with FIV, which means that he has a weakened immune system.  Although Shiro is doing very well, careful attention must be paid to good eating habits and dental issues to ensure that he stays healthy for a long time. FIV is not transmissible to humans, and is primarily transferred from cat to cat via bite wounds acquired during cat fights.  Despite his diagnosis, this little guy can live a long and happy life.   Shiro is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Tokyo, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
