Lolita was sick, emaciated, and heavily pregnant when she was rescued from a colony of starving cats in Inawashiro, Fukushima.  Within hours of arriving at the JCN shelter, Lolita gave birth to four kittens, the smallest of which did not survive.  Lolita is an extremely dedicated mother, providing excellent care to her babies, Heleena, Martin, and Steve.  She is best friends with Tsubaki, another pregnant mom rescued from the same colony at the same time.  Tsubaki subsequently gave birth to three kittens of her own, and together, Tsubaki and Lolita share motherhood responsibilities for all six kittens.  We suspect that the two litters may share the same father, or are at least closely related.  Lolita is a very friendly and loving cat.   Lolita is currently staying at the JCN shelter in Tokyo, but can be available for foster care or adoption in other parts of Japan.
