Hiko was part of a cat colony struggling to survive in the ruins of an abandoned shed in Niihama, Ehime. He is an extremely friendly and outgoing little boy who loves people. Hiko thrives on attention and his easy-going personality allows him to quickly befriend other kitties.
Hiko has been diagnosed with FIV, which means that he has a weakened immune system. Although Hiko is doing very well, careful attention must be paid to good eating habits and dental issues to ensure that he stays healthy for a long time. FIV is not transmissible to humans, and is primarily transferred from cat to cat via bite wounds acquired during cat fights. There is every reason to expect that this loving little kitty will live a long and happy life.

Hiko is currently staying in a foster home in Tokyo, but can be available for adoption in other parts of Japan.
