Winter is still very much upon us here in the magical valleys of Inawashiro. From the outside the shelter seems like a scene from a fairytale, with the snow covered peaks of Mount Bandai looming in the backdrop. Dog walks with Addy and Cha Cha become daily adventures across the surrounding scenic terrain, challenging the depths of the snow and the intensity of the blizzards. All the more satisfying with the knowledge of returning to a house filled with 24 friendly felines.
As some of you might remember, Claude and Peanut from JCN Inawashiro were adopted in November last year. Here's a sneak peak into their new lives as Nikko (Claude) and Durin (Peanut) from their mommy, Shweta Verleker.

In order to thank our amazing volunteers, we have started introducing them to you. Today, one of our ex-volunteers is here to tell you about her time at the shelter. Laura volunteered at JCN Inawashiro for 7 months, putting her name in our list of long-term volunteers.
