Japan Cat Network was recently invited to open a booth at an event at Comaya Cafe, in Inawashiro.
Our Eurasia volunteers, Pierre & Laura were actively trying to grab the on-looker's attention towards the JCN stall.
Special JCN merchandise like our 2017 calendars, JCN tee shirts and bags were put up for sale. While we were excited to have an opportunity to raise money for Addy & Tom's Dental work, we sadly didn't quite hit our target goal. But on the bright side, we did meet plenty of people and gave them information about the shelter. We explained our history, what we do for the animals, and much more. We hope this promotional event will bring in more supporters as well as potential adopters. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Also special thanks to our longtime supporter Michie, who once again helped us at this event too.
Couldn't make it to our booth at the event? No problem. You can still contribute to JCN by donating at japancatnetwork.org/donate.
Freya was rescued close to the Fukushima shelter two weeks ago. Today she starts life in her fur-ever home.
In order to thank our amazing volunteers, we have decided to start introducing them to you. Today, our volunteer under the spotlight is Ben. A gamer, skateboarder, and animal lover, from Germany. He's currently volunteering at JCN Inawashiro.
Turns out, if you're a GUY with 15 cats, you're cool! OK, you have to have a really really great cat play house, as well...But, seriously, hats off to Peter Cohen for rescuing these kitties and for giving them one AMAZING home :-)
Lots of comings and goings lately at both the JCN shelters in Inawashiro and Kyoto! Here is some of the most recent news about our sweet kitties...
